Inspire - Impact
I have been blessed and mentored under the finest coaches and professionals in the game, and am the sum total of everyone I’ve ever met. They have and will continue to shape the way I coach.
Coaching and working with others each and every day has influenced me the most. I love watching people follow their dreams, share their stories, work together and enjoy the process. Their energy and efforts are inspiring.
I think that anyone can teach my kids to swing a club and hit a ball so while Dineen has been excellent at that, she brings so much more to coaching my kids. They have been playing with her for four years and have learned about commitment, process, responsibility, respect (for themselves, the game and other players) and competition.
Dineen has taught them through friendship. She forged a relationship where they learned to admire and respect her in a most attainable way, and then showed them the ins and outs of swinging a club, reading a green, and strategizing their golf games.
Because of Dineen they will have a lifelong love of the game of golf—and a lifelong friend in her.
27 Miles Fore 120 Smiles
This year I’m committed to helping 120 girls. I want to introduce them to the sport of golf in hopes that it can do for them even just a fraction of what it has done for me.
I plan to challenge myself to run “27 race miles” including a half marathon by May 30th, 2016 and I’m looking for donations. While cash is always king, it would be a real boost to my efforts if you came and ran a race mile (or 27) with me too!
Your donation will provide girls the opportunity to participate in a 6-week professionally-run Kate Tempesta’s Urban Golf Academy program. My basic goal is to raise $15,000 which will allow 120 girls who’d never have the opportunity to play golf to jump in and join the fun.
I’ll need your help to meet my lofty goal. And if it looks to you as rewarding and fun as it does to me, perhaps you’ll join my journey.
